The 1980s saw many new and interesting things appear but nothing was more important than the birth of the 12 inch single. There had been 12 inch singles just prior to the 80s but it was the explosion in sales in the 1980s which really saw the 12 inch vinyl be regarded as one of the best things to come out of that decade. Increasingly in the 1980s, many pop artists released 12-inch singles that included longer, extended, or remixed versions of the actual track being promoted by the single. These versions were frequently labeled with the parenthetical designation "12-inch version", "12-inch mix", "extended remix", "dance mix", or "club mix". Maximum 80s features a mix of some of the very best 12 inch singles released in the 80s, including, some rare and hard to find tracks, guaranteed to wet your appetite for more. The maximum 80s shows are released the second week of each month You can listen to the latest mix on the music player below.
